There are many factors that affect the price of a website, ranging from the number of pages to the function of the website (i.e. whether it is static, dynamic or an e-commerce solution). That said it's always nice to know roughly what the cost might be before you make an enquiry:

Single page website design. A single page website, sometimes called a business card website, is a very simple web page that shows your business name and contact details, much like a business card. There would be a paragraph or two describing your services, which would help optimize for your keywords.
This will cost from £85.
Three page static website design. With a three page website, you'll have a homepage, a contact form and a third page, such as an about page (like we did for Blinds-R-Us Rotherham). If you choose, these three pages can be combined into a single page (a bit like this page).
This will cost from £165.
Five page static website design. Similar to a three page website, you'll have a homepage and a contact form. Then choose three pages from an about page, a services page, a portfolio page, a testimonials page (or even some other type of page).
This will cost from £245.
Website maintenance. If you need a hand performing any maintenance of your website, from simple text updates to more complicated changes, we're just a phone call or email away.
Already have a website and need to keep it up to date, but don't have the time? We can help. Whether you need your website updating weekly, monthly or annually, we make the changes you need, when you need them.

Delves Wood Bears was initially built using a system on which development has now ceased. We had made a number of modifications, improving the cart software. Further development during the creation of the new online shop for Mobility Wise lead to the creation of HexaCart.
HexaCart offers a number of useful facilities and functions for the store owner, their customers and search engines:

User-friendly Administration system.
The administration system allows for the configuration of your online store. Whether that's setting up your e-mail address or phone numbers, processing your orders or deciding when you'd like the system to inform you (by e-mail) of events, such as 'Add to Cart', 'Account Registration' or 'Review ready for publication'. You can also define any number of:
- Categories
- Products, which can be added to as few or many categories as you like
- Images, which can be uploaded individually, in a batch or at time of entry
- Manufacturers / Brands
- Product Discounts, either as 'Special offers' or 'Multi-buy discount'
- Coupons
SEO friendly URLs. SEO friendly URLs allow search engines to easily understand what a page is about, as it contains your keywords, e.g. category name or product name. They're also easy for your customers to understand. 'controller=product&path=1_8&product_id=153' doesn't mean anything to anyone (probably not even the store owner), but teddy-bears/large/gund-braydon.html tells everyone that the page is about a large Gund Teddy Bear called Braydon.
Google Base Feed. Google Base allows users to upload products that they sell, so that they can be included in the Google Product Search. A simple and easy way to do this is for us to create a feed, which tells Google Base what products you sell, provides the price, brand, description and image. You can schedule this to run daily, weekly or monthly, whatever best suits your needs.
You may have already seen results of the Google Product Search (some of which are shown in the main Google Search), but not known what it was or how to get your products there. Here's an example of the Gund Sidney (Black) Teddy Bear (as sold by Delves Wood Bears) in the main Google Search and the Google Product Search:

Multiple product images.
Special prices. Special prices can be defined for promotions, with start and expiry dates. You can add a special price for a single product or many products all at once. New prices can be a percentage discount of the original (e.g. 10%), an specific discount (e.g. £2) or a brand new price. This is in addition to multi-buy discounts that can be defined at a product level.
Accepted debit/credit cards side box (module).
Product options. Options can be defined for a product (e.g. colour). You can specify the price change and model. The 'price with options' is updated when an option is changed, allowing your customers to see the actual price they'd pay.
Modular design. Modular design, allows modules to be enabled / disabled as per customers' requirements. It's also offers a great way for custom modules to be added into the system for more bespoke requirements.

Search Engine Optimization

Website Design SEO All the websites we design, whether simple static sites or online stores, are optimized for search engines for your main / target keywords*. Within HexaCart, each product and category can also be optimized for the appropriate keywords*.
You should never pay extra for this and with Delves Wood Web Design you don't! We treat the search engine optimization of your site as importantly as the design of your website: There's no point having a great looking website if no-one can find it - where will your customers come from?

Great design, but no SEO? Even if you have the greatest looking website ever, it's fairly useless unless your customers can find it. This is where SEO comes in. For many people the first port of call when looking for anything these days is a search engine, whether it be Google, Yahoo, Bing or Ask. Optimized sites*, make it easier for search engines to work out what keywords your website (or specifically web page) is about, and as such index / rank the page, so your customers can find the website / web page.
Optimized, but doesn't look good? Just because you're ranked #1 on Google*, doesn't mean the war is won! If your website is not well designed or attractive, if it's not user friendly, (for online shops, may be your products are not easy to find) and takes forever to load. You'll risk losing customers. Many people pass judgement in the first few seconds of their visit to your website.
Best of both, as standard. At Delves Wood Web Design, we believe that you should have a great looking site that ranks well in Google* (and other search engines) for your keywords. That's why when we design your website, SEO is just as important as the design itself. And, of course, we don't charge extra, for optimizing your website, when we build it for you! We will also submit your website to the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing or Ask.
* While every effort is made to get your keywords to rank well in search engines, this process does take time and cannot be guaranteed (regardless of what anyone may tell you).
